You can know a company well by knowing the person at the top. RANA was founded by Nancy Chew, the well-known, and highly-regarded head of NJC Enterprises for over 20 years. Nancy J. Chew, author, lecturer, teacher, consultant and 1998 recipient of the Leonard J. Stouffer Award, has helped large and small companies bring products to market for more than 25 years. Ms. Chew founded Regulatory Affairs, North America LLC (RANA), in order to re-invent the consulting services she began two decades erlier with NJC Enterprises. Nancy's experience encompasses nearly every aspect of regulatory affairs including strategic planning, FDA liaison, submissions and compliance.

Ms. Chew received her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology, After earning her Master of Science degree in physiology, Nancy went on to do additional postgraduate work in biochemistry, cell biology, biomathematics, pharmacology and toxicology. Her career in basic medical research specialized in cell biology, reproductive physiology, and genetic expression during mammalian ontogenesis.

Ms. Chew teaches courses in drug development and pharmaceutical registration. She is a frequent lecturer on regulatory issues and has moderated many panels in the regulatory field. She directs a course in Regulatory Affairs for the Campbell University School of Pharmacy Clinical Research program. Author of numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, Ms. Chew edited a monthly column in BioPharm Magazine for 15 years and is on the editorial advisory board of BioProces International. She has received awards from the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society, including the prestigious Greco Professional of the Year Award, and was appointed the first chair of the Regulatory Affairs Certification Board. Ms. Chew served on the Board of Directors of the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society for five years and on the executive committee of the North Carolina Regulatory Affairs Forum for three years.
